Hand-made or rapid prototype master models are encapsulated in silicone rubber. When the master model is removed it leaves a cavity for the casting of duplicate models. This method is suitable for low-volume replication of prototype models. Creating a shape using a silicon rubber mold can be done in a short time and at low cost. The use of improved casting materials can make the quality nearly as high as thermoplastic resin products.
Rapid prototype products utilize as a master model, which method enable us to produce a wide range of models.
Multi-color (MC) casting for any number of colors is now possible. It can be used with injection molding to avoid shear, producing a high-quality product as well. Dramatic cost reduction and shorter lead times over conventional fabrication methods are possible.
